Hello!
Here's a Valentine card I made a while back. I loved the way it turned out. Quite feminine with the doily, paper roses and seam binding for the bow.
Layered with a lace scallop nestibility circle in rose red, glitter on the pretty in pink circle. The little girl from Greeting Card Kids was colored with ink pads and a blender pen. Patterned paper is from a note pack from the dollar section of Michael's, all layered on a white base with a strip of pretty in pink that was stamped with French Script on top. Pearls at a the corners and rose red seam binding for the bow finish it off.
Hope you have a wonderful day!
Hi Laura! I saw your question on my blog re: glow sticks, and tried to e-mail you, but the address didn't work. So here I am! To answer your question:You just need to be careful not to bend the sticks as you're putting them in the cards. If you bend/crack them, they will start glowing at that portion, though the rest of the stick should be fine.
ReplyDeleteSo, I don't think you have to worry about them running out of "glow," as long as you're not bending them to the point where they start to glow as you're making the cards. Does that make sense? (and I like your card. Very pretty!)
I found it helped to cut the slit in the card, and then use my finger or a pencil or something to sort of stretch out the slight a little and then insert the glow stick.
